Honor Guard - Did Rich Sliker funeral - 11 Honor Guard members
AVVA -
Chaplain - Terry Steer is feeling better. Charlie Halgren undergoing radiation. Bob McCray has kidney disease.
Fundraising: Limited due to weather. Rich will be looking for Walmart for this year.
Old Business: March 23-25 Armory in Columbia to help with claims. January 22, Friendship Baptist Church, PTSD service. Flag and flagpole at Golden Corral. Doug Blackburn made the bench for under the flagpole.
New Business: Ron Kim talked about Agent Orange affected his teeth and had them all out.
State Council - Terry will try to make next meeting Feb. 12th. August 8-12 Convention for National in Orlando.

Correspondence -
Honor Guard - Only funeral was Hightower. Partnered with American Legion. Going to be part of the Moving Wall Service at Memorial Day.
AVVA -
Chaplain - Terry Steer is back in the hospital with pneumonia again. Chapter needs a chaplain. Rick Power is now our Chaplain.
Fundraising: May 26- May 27 8-4. Walmart on Farrow Parkway
Nov 10-11. Garden City Walmart
Old Business: March 22-23 Columbia Armory for filing VA claims. Rich talked about his church doing PTSD speech. #1 stressor for PTSD is alcohol.
New Business: Gary Kniskern - Veteran’s Last Patrol - befriend, honor, and support veterans in hospice care. Gary works with them. Anyone can just go to assisted living facility and do companionship for a veteran.
State Council - can do mileage online. Charles Davies - Council is doing a fundraiser…doing a challenge coin.
Blue Star Mothers - motion $200 approved.
Cub Scouts - donate $300 to our chartered scout troop for use for uniforms for needy veterans kids.
Bench for the flagpole at Golden Corral will be installed soon.
Ron Kim - has website for helping combat vets. CombatHelp.org. Working with over 100 vets right now.

Correspondence - Blue Star Mothers thank you for donation. Thank you for a gift card from a vet we gave a card to.
Honor Guard - Golf Vet Center - opening ceremony. Donated $100 and 2 gift cards for Vet’s Cafe.. The Traveling Wall is coming in Memorial Weekend. We will be involved. Asking for chapter for wreath at Wall. $200 approved.

Chaplain - Johnny Gossett can’t drive anymore.

New Business: April meeting is cancelled and will come back in May.
March 29th is Vietnam Veterans Day. Free entrance at Patriot’s Point
Mission BBQ also doing something that day.
Charles Davies came with in with Challenge Coins for $10
State Council - # of delegates to National Convention is set as of Feb. 28th
Recruiter asking Vietnam Vets to speak to students to recruit - no
Camp LaJuene water - only eligible if you have cancer. Watch what lawyers. Bergman and Greene has contract with government.
Jaime - talked about poster he has of the Nurse Vietnam Memorial Poster. Wants to present to a nurse who served at one of the chapter meeting. Motion - to cover cost of frames. Approved.
Visitor spoke about POW/MIA flag that was refused in Carolina Forest. We are looking at hanging the flag anyway with Honor Guard and TV stations coming to cover it.
