Secretary: State Chapter report, only 21 of 63 members now get cards, saves chapter $420 a year.
Membership: 63 members, 6 AVVA
Honor Guard - Saturday 10th, Conway...Veteran’s Day, 11/11, 2 PM at Conway Court House. Less funerals this year.
Chaplain: Mary Jo Hayes - now at home...been in the hospital with pneumonia. Laverne doing a little better.
Fundraising: Sam’s Club - Nov 9th and 10th. Dec 6. at Chick-fil-a. Hope to have someone check out Lowe’s Food. Did well with Pizza Inn..thanks to Mary Jo Hayes for organizing.
New Business: January meeting -will meet on January 8th.
Christmas Gift Cards - $250 each - 10 cards
Motion for Mileage Proposal tabled until next meeting in December.
Education Outreach - November 15 and Nov 16. Horry County ATA

Gerry Nugent - proposal to send President and Secretary to the National Convention this year. A lot of ideas come from the convention. Tabled until next meeting. Need location ( August 13-18 in Jacksonville, FL) and what the state reimburses.

Chaplain: Any prayers needed....Bob getting more knee surgery Sept 25th. Lloyd - may have neck surgery. Rich Singleton - bad knees. Peggy Anderson - Stroke and in Kingston Manor. Kathie may have to go back to NJ...losing eyesight

State Newsletter - after this month, chapters who did not support monetarily have seen their last one. Need to pay up if we haven’t. Newsletter is on the SCVVA website and will no longer be printed in the near future so it will only be by email. Those with no computer, you lose.
